In conjunction with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference, David Owens, Edison Electric Institutes’ (EEI) Executive Vice President of Business Operations Group and Regulatory Affairs moderated a panel discussion on market shifts in energy policy and how those shifts impact the African-American community. The panel entitled, The New Energy Economy: The Value of the African-American Community, hosted by Congressman Cedric Richmond of Louisiana, included topical presentations by Colette D. Honorable, Federal Energy Regulatory Commissioner; Darren Peters, Director, Federal Policy Initiatives for Entergy Corporation; and Gilbert G. Campbell, III, Director of Business Development and Co-Owner of Volt Energy.
The following week, EEI’s President, Tom Kuhn, was recognized as 2015 Trade Association CEO of the Year during the Association Leadership Awards annual Leadership luncheon.
