Trooskin Presents at Aids Conference

Dr. Stacey Trooskin, the Community Co-chair of the Hepatitis C Allies of Philadelphia (HepCAP), was a featured presenter at the annual U.S. Conference on Aids, held in Washington, D.C. September 10-13, 2015. Dr. Trooskin, a practicing physician at Drexel College of Medicine who specializes in the treatment of Hepatitis C and HIV, addressed the challenges associated with identifying effective strategies to prevent and treat hepatitis among individuals who inject drugs.
Dr. Trooskin, who holds a master’s and a PhD in public health, is also an Assistant Professor at Drexel University College of Medicine. Her passion for public health has led to her involvement in a number of community-based programs to help build awareness and provide treatment. In addition to HepCAP, she currently oversees the “C a Difference Program” which aims to develop best practices in HCV testing in clinical and community-based settings.
